Chicken Slaughterhouses in West Jakarta Get Intensive Monitoring

West Jakarta Sub-dept. of Maritime, Fishery and Food Tenacity will supervise all chicken slaughterhouse to anticipate rotten chicken (ayam tiren) distribution.

But we have 16 chicken shelters in Rawa Buaya

Renova Ida Siahaan, head of the agency, admitted that the supervision must be conducted since West Jakarta has one of the biggest chicken shelter that is in Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng.

“We have not found rotten chicken case yet. But we have 16 chicken shelters in Rawa Buaya,” Ida said, Monday (12/14).

Rotten Chicken Case, Monitoring in Chicken Slaughterhouses Intensified

Ida added that change of season could cause the distribution of rotten chicken, or the distance from supplier to Jakarta.

“Can you imagine that the chicken traveled for hours from distributor to Jakarta, several of them could die before arrive here,” Ida added.

Beside that, Ida’s personnel will also monitor the chicken truck from outside Jakarta before entering West Jakarta.
